STAR OF FAME was difficult to load. Before being allowed to race again, STAR OF FAME will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. SHAHJEE shifted out at the start and was momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of MANY GAINS which shifted in after being bumped by HANNIBAL BARCA. After this, SHAHJEE was vigorously ridden along, however, failed to muster speed. CARRY THE ZEAL was crowded for room at the start between GOOD STRIKE and DEPOSER. In this incident, CARRY THE ZEAL made contact with GOOD STRIKE which then shifted in, resulting in SEA THE PEARLS being taken in onto DANEWIN WINNING. A short distance later, GOOD STRIKE shifted out and hampered CARRY THE ZEAL. From the outside barrier, STAR OF FAME was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. In the early stages, YOUNG TURBO travelled wide and without cover and after the 900 Metres was allowed to stride forward to obtain a position one horse off the fence. Approaching the 600 Metres, HANNIBAL BARCA proved difficult to settle when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SEA THE PEARLS. After the 200 Metres, HANNIBAL BARCA shifted out after being held up for clear running. Also after the 200 Metres, STAR OF FAME got its head on the side and shifted in under pressure. Throughout the race, SUPER PLUS travelled wide and without cover. The performance of KING OF HEARTS, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, KING OF HEARTS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of DANEWIN WINNING and YOUNG TURBO after the race did not show any significant findings. CARRY THE ZEAL and STAR OF FAME were sent for sampling.
