FLASHING AURA was withdrawn on 18.6.11 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter MARK UP (C K Tong). Before being allowed to race again, FLASHING AURA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After being loaded, CHEETAH BOY became fractious and lunged at the front gates, resulting in the gates opening. CHEETAH BOY remained in the stall during this time. Before being allowed to race again, CHEETAH BOY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. Also after being loaded, ELITE SIXTY-SIX became fractious. Before being allowed to race again, ELITE SIXTY-SIX will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. ST DIDAR began awkwardly, shifted out and hampered FLYING COLOURS. MARK UP began very awkwardly and made heavy contact with ENDLESS LUCK. ELITE OF CHIU TON was slow to begin. After being awkwardly placed close to the heels of DREAM BUILDER for some distance in the early part of the Straight, ELITE OF CHIU TON was steadied when disappointed for running between ELITE SIXTY-SIX and DREAM BUILDER which was taken out by ST DIDAR. As the Stewards were of the opinion that ELITE OF CHIU TON had not properly established clear running between DREAM BUILDER and ELITE SIXTY-SIX, no further action was taken. CHEETAH BOY got its head on the side and lay out in the Straight. HAPPY REUNION got its head on the side and lay in in the Straight. Close to the finishing line, ELITE OF CHIU TON (M Chadwick) was checked out away from the heels of CHEETAH BOY. In this incident, CHEETAH BOY became unbalanced. M Chadwick was told to ensure that horses ridden by him do not race too close to the heels of horses in front. Throughout the race, ELITE SIXTY-SIX travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of CHEETAH BOY after the race revealed that the horse had loosened a lower right incisor tooth. CHEETAH BOY, HORSE GALORE and LONDON CHINA TOWN were sent for sampling.
