CLEMENT ELITE and ENDLESS LUCK were slow to begin. At the entrance to the Straight, ENDLESS LUCK was steadied away from the heels of FERRO BEAU when disappointed for running between that horse and SEA PRINCE. AMAZING JOURNEY was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight. CHATER D’CAT and BEAUTIFUL CHOICE were unable to obtain clear running at any stage of the Straight and consequently were not tested. Throughout the race, MIGHTY SUN travelled wide and without cover. Also throughout the race, SEA PRINCE travelled wide. B Prebble (FERRO BEAU) reported that his mount raced fiercely in the early stages and after the race he noted that the horse had got its tongue over the bit. He said due to the manner in which the horse raced in the early stages, FERRO BEAU was not able to finish the race off. A veterinary inspection of FERRO BEAU after the race did not show any significant findings. SEA PRINCE, HAPPY MASTER and ENDLESS LUCK were sent for sampling.
