On jumping, SEIZE THE DAY was crowded for room between SUPER PLUS and NOBLE DE LAGO. As a consequence, these horses became unbalanced. MAGIC PRACTITIONER was slow into stride. MAGIC KING began awkwardly. In the early stages, DAILY DOUBLE, FLY HIGH and WITHALLMYHEART were taken back. Prior to straightening, WITHALLMYHEART was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of DAILY DOUBLE while racing tight inside MASTER GREEN. After the 200 Metres, SEIZE THE DAY, which was closing the race off fairly, was momentarily steadied when having difficulty obtaining clear running between TELECOM LUCKY STAR and PAR EXCELLENCE. Throughout the race, SUPER PLUS travelled wide and without cover. When questioned regarding the poor performance of NOBLE DE LAGO, Apprentice K C Leung explained in the early stages of the race he made use of his mount to go forward as instructed. He said NOBLE DE LAGO did not have sufficient speed to cross to the rail in the lead and he therefore sat outside the leader. He said in the middle stages of the race NOBLE DE LAGO travelled satisfactorily, however, when placed under pressure after straightening did not respond to his riding. He said in his opinion the poor performance of NOBLE DE LAGO was due to the amount of the use made of the horse in the early stages. NOBLE DE LAGO and WITHALLMYHEART were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of NOBLE DE LAGO and WITHALLMYHEART after the race did not show any significant findings. MAGIC KING, MEGABUCKS and PAR EXCELLENCE were sent for sampling. <23/4/2009> Additional Veterinary Reports WITHALLMYHEART, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. WITHALLMYHEART was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer T K Ng this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, WITHALLMYHEART will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
