EURO SWIFTLY was slow to begin. As the start was effected, SUPER GENKI put its head down and as a consequence was slow to begin. On jumping, ADD THE FUN was taken back. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, EURO SWIFTLY, which had been ridden along to make up ground, was momentarily steadied away from the heels of GREAT HERO. After passing the winning post on the first occasion, despite being ridden along, LHOJONG was not able to maintain its position. Approaching the 1100 Metres, LHOJONG, which had endeavoured to shift away from the rail, was steadied when tightened for room inside MULTO EXPRESSO which held its position. Making the turn at the 1000 Metres, MAN IN THE MIRROR got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of LHOJONG. After entering the Back Straight, SUPER GENKI, which was proving difficult to settle, was shifted to a three wide position without cover and allowed to gradually improve. Prior to the 400 Metres, SILVER BLAZE commenced to give ground. SILVER BLAZE was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, SILVER BLAZE was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. As this was the second occasion on which SILVER BLAZE has been reported to have suffered an episode of an irregular heart rhythm, the horse will now be barred from racing for six months. Prior to racing again, SILVER BLAZE will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After the 400 Metres, WHIPLASH was checked to avoid the heels of EURO SWIFTLY which was checked and shifted out away from the heels of SILVER BLAZE. MULTO EXPRESSO, which was following, was hampered in consequence. SUPER GENKI, JUGGERNAUT and SPEEDY WARRIOR were sent for sampling. <19/3/2009 Additional Veterinary Report> SILVER BLAZE, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. SILVER BLAZE was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer C H Yip this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. As previously advised, SILVER BLAZE will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
