A review of the circumstances which led to the bell signifying the start of the race being sounded about two minutes before the race time and then failing to be sounded when the start was effected together with the reason for the electronic timing of this race not functioning will be conducted and a report forwarded to the Executive Director, Racing. EASY AHEAD was slow to begin. On jumping, LUCKY RED was crowded for room outside HOLEY DOLLAR which shifted out. SOUTH CHINA ELITE began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped DESTINY’S CHILD. WINDICATOR RETURNS began awkwardly and lost ground. For the major part of the race, DESTINY’S CHILD hung out and proved difficult to ride. W C Marwing (HOLEY DOLLAR) reported his mount was not comfortable on today's track conditions. CAGA BOY was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of CAGA BOY after the race did not show any significant findings. ONE WEE ACORN and SOUTH CHINA ELITE were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that GOOD DISHES was making an abnormal breathing noise.
