THESIS (H111): Shortly after the start was eased when momentarily crowded by DAILY TROPHY. Between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running. EXCEL WONGCHOY (J194): Over the concluding stages raced tight to the inside of HAKKA RADIANCE which was taken in slightly by THESIS. After the event, C Y Ho stated that after initially responding to his riding in the early part of the Home Straight, his mount commenced to give ground passing the 100 Metres and he could offer no explanation for its disappointing performance. Trainer P C Ng could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance of the horse. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The Stewards considered the performance of EXCEL WONGCHOY to be disappointing as compared to its previous race starts. Before being allowed to race again, EXCEL WONGCHOY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race. ARIEL (G223): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. AMAZING DUCK (H392): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, AMAZING DUCK will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ACA POWER (E144): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm and an endoscopic examination also showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, ACA POWER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. NEVER PETER OUT (J200): Jumped only fairly. Sent for sampling post-race. POCHETTINO (J149): After the event, B Avdulla stated that his mount, which was having its first race start on the All Weather surface, did not appreciate the kickback and also was disadvantaged by settling back in the field. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. HAKKA RADIANCE (J105): No report. PING HAI COMET (H344): Near the 1500 Metres after improving to the inside of POCHETTINO was then steadied when momentarily crowded by that runner. After the event, A Hamelin reported that his mount failed to travel throughout the event despite his efforts to encourage it to do so and did not run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. VIVA HUNTER (E369): No report. COURIER MAGIC (H290): No report. DAILY TROPHY (H283): Raced keenly outside the lead throughout the early and middle stages. After the event, K De Melo reported that the intention was to find cover on his mount, but after beginning well DAILY TROPHY took up a more forward position than anticipated. HAPPYDEARHAPPYDEER (J002): Noted to have blood in its mouth at the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Sent for sampling post-race.
