DESTIN was very slow to begin. After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on DESTIN at the request of Trainer P O’Sullivan The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, DESTIN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
HUNKY DORY shifted out at the start and bumped WINWIN THIRTYTHREE which became unbalanced.
FLYING DRAGON began awkwardly.
AQUILA began awkwardly and shifted out, resulting in EVERYONE’S VICTORY being bumped and taken out onto BINGO BINGO which was hampered.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages, STEEL WIN was slow to muster speed.
After the 800 Metres, FLYING DRAGON commenced to travel keenly when being crossed by AQUILA.
Passing the 300 Metres, BINGO BINGO got its head on the side and lay out away from TRADER as BINGO BINGO commenced to give ground.
A veterinary inspection of STEEL WIN and BINGO BINGO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WHIZZ KID, FLYING DRAGON, TRADER and EVERYONE’S VICTORY were sent for sampling.
