REGENCY BO BO began very awkwardly and lost ground. AUDACITY shifted out at the start and bumped the hindquarters of ENCHANTED FEELING. After this, AUDACITY was shifted across behind runners. Passing the 900 Metres, REGENCY BO BO, which was inclined to lay out, was steadied away from the heels of STARLOT (U Rispoli) which shifted in. U Rispoli was advised to exercise more care. SUPER EURO STAR, which travelled wide and without cover throughout the race, made the first turn awkwardly and shifted out. Passing the 150 Metres, LOOK ERAS was shifted to the outside of CHEER WIN after being disappointed for running between that horse and SEA JADE, both of which shifted ground. Passing the 100 Metres, RED SUN was shifted in away from the heels of SUPER EURO STAR. When questioned, Apprentice K K Chiong stated that she had been asked to have GENEROUS HEART racing where it was comfortable and although the horse had not begun well in some of its barrier trials in the lead up to today’s race, it was hoped that it may be able to obtain a midfield position. She said GENEROUS HEART was crowded for room on jumping between STARLOT and CHEER WIN which both shifted ground and was then steadied away from the heels of STARLOT near the 1150 Metres. She said this resulted in GENEROUS HEART being further back in the field than had been hoped. She said after the 700 Metres she shifted GENEROUS HEART to the outside of RED SUN and commenced to improve around that horse and after the 600 Metres rode her mount along to make up ground on the main body of the field. She added she shifted GENEROUS HEART to the outside of runners in the Straight and then the horse finished off the race strongly. Apprentice Chiong was advised that her comments would be reported, however, she must ensure that, wherever possible, she does not allow her mounts to get too far out of their ground. A veterinary inspection of ARM RUNDA and STARLOT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SEA JADE, REGENCY BO BO and CHEER WIN were sent for sampling.
