TRAVEL BRAND was slow to begin. From a wide barrier, TOWERING STORM was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. In the early stage, SUNNY YING was left racing wide and without cover and passing the 1300 Metres was allowed to stride forward into the lead. Near the 1400 Metres, GREAT AND BEYOND got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of CLASSIC JEWELLERY. ENTHUSIASM, which was following, was checked away from the heels of GREAT AND BEYOND in consequence. After this, GREAT AND BEYOND proved difficult to settle and had to be checked away from the heels of CLASSIC JEWELLERY for some distance. Passing the 1000 Metres, TRAVEL BRAND commenced to prove difficult to settle, got its head up and shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of LUCKY OMENS, resulting in GREAT AND BEYOND being hampered when bumped by TRAVEL BRAND. AGIAAL, which was following TRAVEL BRAND, was hampered in consequence. Then near the 800 Metres, TRAVEL BRAND again shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of LUCKY OMENS. Approaching the 800 Metres, LUCKY FOREVER was taken in to a three wide position without cover when SHINY DAY shift to the outside of SUNNY YING. Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres, TRAVEL BRAND had to be steadied when held up for clear running. Approaching the 200 Metres, NAVEL ORANGE was awkwardly placed outside the heels of KING OF SCOTS. C Y Ho (HEAR THE ROAR) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 250 Metres after racing tight inside LUCKY OMENS, he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of AGIAAL, resulting in that horse having to be checked and to lose the running to which it was rightfully entitled. C Y Ho was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Thursday, 27 June 2013 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the Happy Valley racemeeting on Wednesday, 19 June 2013. In addition, C Y Ho was fined $30,000 in lieu of a suspension for a period incorporating one further raceday. A veterinary inspection of TRAVEL BRAND immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped. A veterinary inspection of AGIAAL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. TRAVEL BRAND, LUCKY FOREVER and LUCKY OMENS were sent for sampling. <10/6/2013 Additional Veterinary Report>TRAVEL BRAND, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. TRAVEL BRAND was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer C H Yip this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, TRAVEL BRAND will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
