LEVEL PLAYER, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 14.7.12 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (sore right fore tendon). Before being allowed to race again, LEVEL PLAYER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. TONBRIDGE was crowded for room at the start between REAL GENEROUS which shifted in and EAGLE SPIRIT which shifted out abruptly. In this incident, TONBRIDGE blundered. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, CONNOISSEUR’S PICK failed to show early speed and consequently shortly after the start was taken across behind runners. Near the 800 Metres, TONBRIDGE got its head up on a number of occasions when awkwardly placed close to the heels of YUE LU TREASURE. Near the 700 Metres, JAMESINA and DANZULU raced tight as DANZULU attempted to shift out from behind INDIGO WAY. Throughout the race, LIBERTY VALANCE travelled wide and without cover. The performance of DEMON DEMON, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, DEMON DEMON will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of DANZULU after the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped. REAL GENEROUS and VICTOR DELIGHT were sent for sampling.
