TRAVEL GUIDE began awkwardly. BROTHERS IN ARMS jumped in at the start, hampering YUAN’S FORTUNE. From a wide barrier, WADASURPRISE was taken across behind runners soon after the start. After passing the winning post on the first occasion, YUAN’S FORTUNE was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SURE FORWARD. After the 1100 Metres, TRAVEL GUIDE was left racing wide and without cover. Soon after entering into the Straight, MUSTANG was disappointed for a run between SURE FORWARD and ISTIDE. Passing the 200 Metres, MY WAY shifted out, resulting in ISTIDE being inconvenienced. Near the 150 Metres, BROTHERS IN ARMS shifted out and made contact with EASY AHEAD. Over the concluding stages, when improving into a tight run between BROTHERS IN ARMS and HAPPY SEVEN, MUSTANG made contact with the hindquarters of HAPPY SEVEN and became awkward. Because of this, MUSTANG was not able to be properly tested. Apprentice T H So (EASY AHEAD) was warned for raising his whip arm above shoulder height in the Straight. A veterinary inspection of YUAN’S FORTUNE after the race did not show any significant findings. MY WAY and CLASSIC ENERGY were sent for sampling. <30/9/2011 Additional Veterinary Report> YUAN’S FORTUNE, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. YUAN’S FORTUNE was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer Y S Tsui yesterday afternoon. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg with a cut behind the knee. Before being allowed to race again, YUAN’S FORTUNE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
