YUAN`S FORTUNE was slow to begin and shortly after the start was hampered by FUN AND FAST which was taken in slightly by VALUE CHOICE. From the outside barrier, CHINA GOOD was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. After being bumped by EASYGOING at the start, MILLION DARLING shifted out, resulting in TOUT VA BIEN being hampered shortly after the start. Approaching the 1000 Metres, VALUE CHOICE and CHARMGOLD were crowded for room inside TOUT VA BIEN when taken out by GOOD LOOKING WATCH which shifted out when being steadied away from the heels of MILLION DARLING (D Whyte) which shifted in when not properly clear. D Whyte was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in future. After this, VALUE CHOICE was left racing wide and without cover and after the 900 Metres was allowed to stride forward. However, VALUE CHOICE continued to race wide and without cover for the remainder of the race. Near the 500 Metres, CHINA GOOD became unbalanced when crowded for room inside FUN AND FAST which at this time got its head on the side and shifted in. In the Straight, FUN AND FAST hung in and proved difficult to ride. A veterinary inspection of CHARMGOLD after the race did not show any significant findings. MILLION DARLING and CARE FREE MIDAS were sent for sampling.
