TYCOON TAYLOR was withdrawn on 26.3.10 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (substantial amount of mucopus in trachea on scoping after track work) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter FASCINATING SMILE (G Cheyne). Before being allowed to race again, TYCOON TAYLOR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. PRINCE OF LUCK was slow to begin. COOL CAT shifted out at the start and bumped ASALI VICTORY. From wide barriers, TATTENHALL DELIGHT and HIGH LUCK were taken across behind runners shortly after the start. In the early stages, FASCINATING SMILE proved difficult to settle and then near the 800 Metres shifted in abruptly when being checked away from the heels of CALIFORNIA OFFICER. When FASCINATING SMILE shifted in, KING FAY FAY was checked. Passing the 700 Metres, FASCINATING SMILE shifted out abruptly when being checked away from the heels of CALIFORNIA OFFICER, resulting in MANY GAINS being hampered and taken out across the rightful running of SUNSHINE BOY which was checked and taken wider. PRINCE OF LUCK, TATENHALL DELIGHT and HIGH LUCK, all of which were following, were badly hampered in consequence. The racing manners of FASCINATING SMILE were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, FASCINATING SMILE will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial around a bend. DREAM HORSE hung out in the middle stages. A veterinary inspection of DREAM HORSE after the race did not show any significant findings. SUPER PEPPER, THE RIFLE and RAINBOW SEEKER were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that CALIFORNIA OFFICER had lost its right front plate and that COOL CAT had lost its left front plate.
