TATTENHALL DELIGHT began very awkwardly, resulting in its rider, Apprentice T H So, becoming unbalanced in the saddle. DASHING THUNDER was steadied when crowded for room shortly after the start between PERFECT TEN which shifted in and LUCKYME which was taken out by HORSE WIN WIN which itself was taken out slightly by WIN MORE. Rounding the Home Turn, BOLD CHAMPION raced tight inside FULL PACK. Shortly after entering the Straight, BOLD CHAMPION continued to race tight between FULL PACK (Apprentice K W Leung) which shifted in and HO WONGCHOY which shifted out when held up for clear running behind SABINA. As the Stewards were of the opinion that FULL PACK was not fully responsible for the interference suffered by BOLD CHAMPION, no further action was taken. Nonetheless, Apprentice Leung was reprimanded for failing to take sufficient measures to prevent his mount, which was commencing to weaken back through the field, from shifting ground. SPARKLING was unable to obtain clear running until passing the 300 Metres. Near the 100 Metres, HORSE WIN WIN was steadied away from the heels of CRYSTAL MAGNUM which shifted out slightly. Throughout the race, FULL PACK travelled wide and without cover. PERFECT TEN, SUPER BOBO and SPARKLING were sent for sampling.
