CHINA SPORTFIELD was withdrawn on 30.11.07 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (blood abnormality) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter GOLD DIGGER (C K Tong). Before being allowed to race again, CHINA SPORTFIELD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Just prior to the gates opening, KEY WINNER became fractious, then began awkwardly, bounded in the air, on landing blundered and as a consequence lost ground. REAL REJOICING was slow to begin and then trailed the field throughout. The performance of REAL REJOICING was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, REAL REJOICING will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. In the early stages, SUPER BALL travelled wide and without cover. On straightening, SUPER BALL was steadied and shifted out when disappointed for running between ARROGANCE and THREE CLUBS. The performance of GOLD DIGGER, which after travelling wide gave ground from the 700 Metres, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, GOLD DIGGER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. M W Leung (EXPEDITIOUS) reported prior to straightening he became concerned with the horse’s action. He said because of this he eased EXPEDITIOUS down. Before being allowed to race again, EXPEDITIOUS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. REAL REJOICING and EXPEDITIOUS were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of REAL REJOICING and EXPEDITIOUS after the race did not show any significant findings. THREE CLUBS and GALLANT KNIGHT were sent for sampling.
