EMBRACES (J276): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the event C L Chau stated that with the early and middle stages of the event being run inside of standard time his mount was under pressure to hold its position behind midfield. He added that when he placed the horse under pressure in the Home Straight EMBRACES finished the race off reasonably well. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. CALL ME TOPSEED (K357): Bumped near the 1500 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. STAR CONTACT (E472): After being crossed by KEEN MOLLY near the 1500 Metres was then steadied to avoid KEEN MOLLY, resulting in STAR CONTACT making the first turn wider. STAR CONTACT was then allowed to stride forward near the 1200 Metres to avoid racing wide and without cover. PRESTIGE GOOD (K131): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the event J Orman stated that with the early and middle stages of the race being run inside of standard time his mount travelled only fairly at the rear of the field. He added that in the Home Straight PRESTIGE GOOD made some ground but, in his opinion, was not comfortable on the "Good to Firm” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. ANOTHER ZONDA (K176): Bumped at the start. After the event Apprentice E C W Wong stated that his mount raced keenly in the lead. He added that when STAR CONTACT improved to his outside near the 1000 Metres this resulted in ANOTHER ZONDA continuing to race keenly and setting a faster early pace than he anticipated. KEEN MOLLY (K386): Over the final 250 Metres lay out under pressure, resulting in its rider K Teetan having to straighten his mount near the 150 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race. HARMONY GALAXY (J266): Jumped only fairly. Approaching the 400 Metres was shifted to the outside of KEEN MOLLY to continue into clear running. CASA ROCHESTER (J494): Bumped at the start. Near the 500 Metres shifted out and made contact with YOUNG BRILLIANT. Near the 150 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving into a narrow run between CALL ME TOPSEED and VIVA GRACIOUSNESS. Sent for sampling post-race. THE LION KING (K265): Jumped only fairly. Near the 1500 Metres made contact with CALL ME TOPSEED when racing tight to the inside of STAR CONTACT when that runner shifted in and away from KEEN MOLLY. VIVA GRACIOUSNESS (J079): Bumped shortly after the start. Sent for sampling post-race. YOUNG BRILLIANT (H135): Bumped shortly after the start. Bumped near the 500 Metres. Y L Chung was warned in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on three occasions in the Home Straight.
