STORM MIRROR (L179)：When placed under pressure in the Home Straight shifted out abruptly near the 150 Metres, resulting in its rider Apprentice H Y Yuen having to stop riding and straighten her mount. Sent for sampling post-race. TANG HEART (L373)：Shifted out at the start and made contact with GRAND PATCH. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running. MR COOL (K184)：Near the 400 Metres was bumped by FLASH CURRENT which attempted to shift out. When questioned K Teetan stated that his instructions were to settle the horse where comfortable but not to ride it along in the early stages. He said those instructions were issued as MR COOL had not finished its races off last season when ridden in a forward position. He said at its last start win on 4 October 2026 MR COOL was able to obtain a handy position without being ridden along to do so and his intention was to ride the horse in a similar manner today. He said whilst MR COOL jumped well he was of the opinion he would have had to make too much use of the horse in the early stages to cross runners to his inside and for this reason he elected to restrain his mount to attempt to obtain a position with cover behind PRESTIGE COME. He said when GENIUS BABY and GRAND PATCH improved to his inside he was unable to obtain cover and as a result was obliged to race very wide and without cover in the early stages. He said as the pace of the event was being run outside of standard time he then elected to ride MR COOL forward from the 900 Metres to cross GRAND PATCH where he then raced wide and without cover for the remainder of the middle stages. Trainer F C Lor confirmed the instructions issued and expressed satisfaction with the ride of Jockey Teetan. After considering his explanation the Stewards advised Jockey Teetan that he had made an error of judgement in the early stages in not attempting to cross runners to his inside, particularly when MR COOL had jumped well and the early and middle stages of the event were being run outside of standard time. OLDTOWN (K105)：No report. GRAND PATCH (L293)：Bumped at the start. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. C Y Ho reported that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and as a result found it difficult to run on in the Home Straight. FLASH CURRENT (J500)：In the middle stages raced keenly and near the 700 Metres was checked to avoid PRESTIGE COME. Near the 400 Metres shifted out and made contact with MR COOL when attempting to shift to the outside of PRESTIGE COME. ROAD TO GLORY (L415)：Z Purton stated that his mount, which is relatively inexperienced, did not appreciate racing in amongst other horses and finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight. Trainer J Richards advised that, in his view, ROAD TO GLORY would be suited by being stepped up in distance for its next race start and also may not have appreciated the "Good to Firm” track conditions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. KING ZOOM (L279)：Slow to begin. When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight and the reason he did not shift to the inside of ROAD TO GLORY sooner, J Orman stated that after following ROAD TO GLORY into the Home Straight he was content to remain racing behind that runner whilst encouraging his horse to improve. He said when ROAD TO GLORY did not improve into the race as he had expected he then shifted to the inside of that runner near the 300 Metres to secure clear running. He added that his mount then commenced to finish the race off well but over the final 100 Metres could not be ridden out when it improved close to FLASH CURRENT. The Stewards advised Jockey Orman that, in their opinion, he had made an error of judgement in not improving to the inside of ROAD TO GLORY sooner than what he did to ensure that his mount was provided with the first available opportunity to improve. PRESTIGE COME (L261)：After travelling a short distance became unbalanced when racing tight to the inside of MR COOL. Over the final 200 Metres lay in under pressure. R Kingscote stated that the instructions were to hold a midfield position. He said when caught wide in the early stages and the pace of the event was being run outside of standard time he elected to allow his mount to stride forward to obtain a position closer to the rail. Approaching the 400 Metres was shifted to the inside of STUNNING PEACH to obtain clear running. Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight. INFINITE RESOLVE (K369)：Sent for sampling post-race. REGAL GEM (K258)：From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. K C Leung reported that his mount settled back in the field and found it difficult to make up ground from that position in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. AWESOME FLUKE (J050)：When questioned Apprentice H Y Yuen stated that her instructions were to go forward and lead if circumstances permitted. She said in accordance with her instructions she rode her mount along in the early stages, however, AWESOME FLUKE took some time to muster speed which resulted in a number of runners crossing her mount in the early stages. She said when left without cover near the 1400 Metres AWESOME FLUKE then commenced to race keenly and her intention was to endeavour to obtain a position with cover behind DEFINITIVE. She said when CALIFORNIATOTALITY maintained its position one-off behind DEFINITIVE, this resulted in AWESOME FLUKE being obliged to race wide and without cover. When questioned if there was an opportunity to go forward from the 1300 Metres having regard to the early stages being run outside of standard time, Apprentice Yuen agreed with the Stewards that in retrospect she had made an error of judgement in not allowing her mount to stride forward, particularly as it was racing keenly. She added that when positioned to the outside of DEFINITIVE she was mindful not to crowd runners to her inside and for this reason she remained racing three wide and without cover from the 900 Metres and into the Home Straight. Trainer P F Yiu confirmed the instructions were to go forward and agreed with the Stewards that in retrospect Apprentice Yuen should have taken the initiative to go forward and cross DEFINITIVE. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted on the stablemate CHILL EASY, Mr Yiu advised that he had expected the horse to hold a midfield position and was surprised that AWESOME FLUKE remained three deep during the race, particularly from barrier 6 having regard to the instructions. He said it was not the intention of the stable for this to occur and in the circumstances it was Apprentice Yuen’s riding which led to CHILL EASY being able to obtain cover behind AWESOME FLUKE. DROMBEG BANNER (H117)：Shifted out at the start and made contact with DEFINITIVE. Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped. Y L Chung stated that he was able to lead the event in the early stages as expected. METRO POWER (K408)：J Orman reported that when he placed his mount under pressure in the early stages of the Home Straight it failed to respond to his riding and weakened noticeably. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, METRO POWER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SPICY STANDARD (J520)：Shifted out abruptly at the start and made heavy contact with LUCRATIVE EIGHT. Raced keenly throughout the early stages. Near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid LUCRATIVE EIGHT (K C Leung) which shifted in when not sufficiently clear. K C Leung was advised to exercise more care. Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event. ANOTHER ZONDA (K176)：M Chadwick reported that his mount jumped only fairly and after being crowded shortly after the start by PI LEGEND which shifted in and away from AURIO, his mount settled further back than intended. LUCRATIVE EIGHT (K542)：On jumping was bumped heavily by SPICY STANDARD which shifted out abruptly. MASK WARRIOR (L518)：On jumping shifted in and made contact with RADIANT PATH. ANODE (K367)：Bumped after travelling a short distance. After the race an endoscopic examination was conducted on ANODE at the request of Trainer C S Shum. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, ANODE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. GREAT LEGEND (L409)：Bumped at the start.

AEROVOLANIC (K400)：Sent for sampling post-race. CIRCUIT CHAMPION (J428)：Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race. BEAUTY CRESCENT (H334)：Y L Chung advised that his mount was disadvantaged by racing very wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. EFFORTLESS WIN (L310)：C L Chau reported that with his mount stepping up in distance it raced keenly in the lead in the early stages, particularly when pressured by PACKING GLORY. He added that as a result EFFORTLESS WIN gave ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. ENTERPRISE TRIUMPH (L435)：When being crossed by AEROVOLANIC leaving the 900 Metres was steadied when racing keenly. POWER OF VITAM (L171)：Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of ENDEARED. ENDEARED (H161)：Jumped only fairly. ALMIGHTY LIGHTNING (L126)：Jumped only fairly. HAPPY BOSS (K453)：No report. PACKING GLORY (L013)：Sent for sampling post-race. SAINT OF THE SEA (M034)：In the early stages raced keenly and near the 900 Metres was steadied to avoid ALL’S WELL. Again near the 700 Metres was steadied to avoid ALL’S WELL when it continued to race keenly. ALL'S WELL (K294)：Jumped only fairly. BLAZING STAR (L405)：Jumped only fairly. Noted to have blood in the mouth after the race. COME FAST FAY FAY (K121)：M L Yeung reported that his mount, which was racing first up, would derive a fitness benefit from today’s performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of COME FAST FAY FAY was considered disappointing. Before being allowed to race again, COME FAST FAY FAY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
