ONE WEE ACORN was very difficult to load. Before being allowed to race again, ONE WEE ACORN will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. ELITE SIXTY-SIX began awkwardly and lost ground. ONE WEE ACORN began awkwardly, shifted out, bumped the hindquarters of MAGIC KING, became unbalanced and lost ground. LEGEND, which was standing with its head turned to the left, was slow into stride. TRAVEL CONSULTANT began awkwardly, bumped with BLUE MAGIC and then took time to muster. TREASURE PLANET was slow into stride. Near the 400 Metres, DR POSSIBLE was steadied and shifted to the inside of SUPER PLUS (Y T Cheng). As DR POSSIBLE commenced to improve its position to the inside of SUPER PLUS, it was hampered and carried in by that horse. Y T Cheng was told in similar circumstances he would be expected to straighten his mount sooner than he did on this occasion. After the 400 Metres, TRAVEL CONSULTANT got its head on the side and hung in. Throughout the race, BLUE MAGIC and SINGLE MALT hung in. When questioned regarding the poor performance of SUPER PLUS, Y T Cheng said his mount despite having had several race starts it is still immature and is reluctant to race close to other runners. SUPER PLUS was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SUPER PLUS after the race did not show any significant findings. DR POSSIBLE, ONE WEE ACORN and ELITE SIXTY-SIX were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported MAGIC KING had bled from both nostrils.
