On jumping, HAPPY AMBASSADOR from the outside barrier was taken across behind runners. TIGER RIDGE, which was standing with its head down and turned to the left when the gates opened, was slow to begin. LASER TIGER bounded in the air at the start and lost ground. MACHO EXPRESSO was slow into stride. At the 1100 Metres, HAPPY AMBASSADOR was bumped by LASER TIGER which shifted in. Making the turn at the 1000 Metres, WHATAFANTASY became unbalanced after being bumped on its hindquarters by LASER TIGER which shifted out after again making contact with HAPPY AMBASSADOR. After the 800 Metres, LASER TIGER got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of FANTASTIC CHOICE which was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of MACHO EXPRESSO. At the 500 Metres, DR POSSI was carried wider by LASER TIGER which was shifted towards the outside of FANTASTIC CHOICE. For some distance after straightening, VICTORY CONQUEROR was held up and unable to improve. Passing the 100 Metres, O Doleuze (FANTASTIC CHOICE) dropped his left rein. Throughout the race, DR POSSI travelled wide and without cover. VICTORY CONQUEROR, FANTASTIC CHOICE and SUPER SNIPPETS were sent for sampling.
