DR POSSI and INDUSTRIAL EXPRESS bumped at the start. CHATER SILK began awkwardly. From a wide barrier, MEDICO was taken across behind runners at the start. Shortly after the start, HOLD HANDS was hampered when crowded for room between AWARD and LE ROSSIGNOL which shifted out. Passing the 1500 Metres, CHATER SILK got its head up when awkwardly placed inside the heels of PUERTO RICO which shifted in slightly. Near the 700 Metres, CHATER SILK was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of AWARD. Near the 650 Metres, PUERTO RICO was steadied and became unbalanced when disappointed for running between WADADELIGHT and MEDICO which improved quickly around the outside of PUERTO RICO. For some distance after this, PUERTO RICO raced close to the heels of WADADELIGHT. In the early part of the Straight, AWARD had some difficulty obtaining clear running. Also in the early part of the Straight, HOLD HANDS was momentarily held up for clear running behind LE ROSSIGNOL and inside MAGI JOY. Near the 300 Metres, INDUSTRIAL EXPRESS was steadied to avoid the heels of MEDICO (D Beadman) which hung in in the Straight. D Beadman was advised to ensure he is sufficiently clear in future. Near the 150 Metres and again near the 100 Metres, BEING FAMOUS and HOLD HANDS brushed. Passing the 100 Metres, CHATER SILK and INDUSTRIAL EXPRESS raced tight due to CHATER SILK shifting in. Throughout the race, DR POSSI travelled wide and without cover. DR POSSI was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of DR POSSI after the race did not show any significant findings. BEING FAMOUS and HOLD HANDS were sent for sampling.
