PHOENIX LIGHT (G192): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race. SAKEWIN (G275): No report. ROMANTIC NOVELIST (J167): Jumped only fairly and then was crowded by EXUBERANT which shifted out. EXUBERANT (E282): Sent for sampling post-race. SUPERB WITNESS (H467): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Throughout the early and middle stages raced keenly and for some distance after the 800 Metres got its head up when positioned behind CHEONG FAT. GLORY CLOUD (H320): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. TEAM HAPPY (J218): Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when positioned close to DAN ATTACK which shifted out. BRAVO WARRIOR (J088): Jumped awkwardly and then bumped with PARENTS’ LOVE. PARENTS' LOVE (H405): Bumped at the start. After the race, Apprentice Y L Chung stated that his instructions were to go forward and lead. He added with his mount stepping up in distance tonight PARENTS’ LOVE raced too keenly and although he was aware that his mount was setting a fast pace, he was unable to restrain it to set a more sustainable pace throughout the early stages. He said as a result PARENTS’ LOVE weakened in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of PARENTS’ LOVE was considered to be disappointing as compared to its previous race start. Before being allowed to race again, PARENTS’ LOVE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
