SUPER COMMANDER (D350): No report. SAVVY DELIGHT (E386): Near the 25 Metres bumped with CIRCUIT SEVEN. G ONE EXCELLENT (E359): Was bumped at the start. After the race, B Avdulla stated that approaching the first turn near the 600 Metres his mount came under pressure and commenced to make an abnormal respiratory noise. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, G ONE EXCELLENT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. KING ECCELLENTE (G264): Was bumped at the start. SERGEANT PEPPER (E432): Approaching the 200 Metres was steadied and shifted to the inside of KOWLOON EAST STAR to secure clear running. Was sent for sampling post-race. HAPPY DAY (G119): Was sent for sampling post-race. KING INVINCIBLE (H199): Was crowded on jumping. H Bowman (SAVVY DELIGHT) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 200 Metres he permitted his mount to shift out when not clear of KING INVINCIBLE, resulting in KING INVINCIBLE having to be checked and losing the running to which it was rightfully entitled. H Bowman was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday, 25 October 2023 and to expire Monday, 30 October 2023 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 3 and the consequences grade 2. KOWLOON EAST STAR (E158): Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with KING ECCELLENTE. After the race, K C Leung reported that after jumping awkwardly, he made some use of his mount to take up a forward position. He said as a result KOWLOON EAST STAR was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, KOWLOON EAST STAR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Was sent for sampling post-race. SONIC PEGASUS (H279): Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between KING INVINCIBLE and SUPER COMMANDER which shifted in slightly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of SONIC PEGASUS was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SONIC PEGASUS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ACE TALENT (H046): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. CIRCUIT SEVEN (D474): Was bumped at the start. Near the 25 Metres bumped with SAVVY DELIGHT. ISLAND SURPRISE (E429): Was bumped at the start. Near the 600 Metres was bumped by ACE TALENT which shifted in.
