SPARKY STAR was slow to begin.
GALLANT LEGACY shifted out at the start and bumped HANG’S DECISION.
SOLAR VICTORY began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped PRECIOUS SWEETIE.
From wide barriers, FAST PACE and STRATHCLYDE were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 1300 Metres, PRECIOUS SWEETIE was crowded for room between SHANGHAI POWER and SOLAR VICTORY (Apprentice C Wong) which shifted in. Apprentice Wong was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
Approaching and passing the 1200 Metres, SHANGHAI POWER travelled keenly.
For some distance after the 1100 Metres, NOBLE DESIRE, which was racing keenly, was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SOLAR VICTORY.
Passing the 500 Metres, ANONYMA raced tight inside PRECIOUS SWEETIE which improved into tight running inside SHANGHAI POWER.
GALLANT LEGACY got its head on the side and lay out rounding the Home Turn.
Throughout the race, LAOS ENLIGHTENMENT travelled wide and without cover.
For the majority of the race, MANNA FROM HEAVEN also travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of PRECIOUS SWEETIE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
HANG’S DECISION and CASIMIRO were sent for sampling.
