LONE EAGLE was withdrawn on 23.3.19 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore). Before being allowed to race again, LONE EAGLE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
THE ABRAXAS and EPTIMUM bumped at the start. THE ABRAXAS then became unbalanced a short distance after the start when bumped by SMART LEADER which shifted out.
Approaching the turn near the 900 Metres, HONEST WAY was bumped by FLYING THUNDER which shifted out after being brushed by BEST ALLIANCE. After this, HONEST WAY raced tight outside FLYING THUNDER and after the 900 Metres was eased to obtain cover behind EPTIMUM which after the 800 Metres was left racing wide and without cover.
DALRADIAN was held up for a run in the early part of the Straight and passing the 300 Metres was shifted to the outside of HONEST WAY to obtain clear running.
Over the final 150 Metres, FLYING THUNDER got its head on the side and lay in under pressure away from HONEST WAY which was also laying in.
A veterinary inspection of THE ABRAXAS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
HONEST WAY and FLYING THUNDER were sent for sampling.
