SUPER CHIC and TEN FLAMES bumped at the start. From wide barriers, GENERAL SHERMAN and KING’S MAN were steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners. In the early stages, TEN FLAMES, which was being steadied in an attempt to obtain cover, was left racing wide and without cover and after the 1700 Metres was allowed to improve to race in a more forward position closer to the rail. Passing the 1000 Metres, ENSURING was awkwardly placed behind GOOD DAYS. Near the 750 Metres, ZILONG was awkwardly placed behind BRING IT ON. Making the turn near the 600 Metres, GENERAL SHERMAN lost ground when attempting to improve into very tight running inside KING’S MAN which shifted in marginally. Rounding the Home Turn, TEN FLAMES raced tight with GIANT TURTLE as that horse shifted to the outside of GOLDFIELD to obtain clear running. Also rounding the Home Turn, GOOD DAYS raced close to the heels of TEN FLAMES. Then near the 350 Metres, GOOD DAYS was held up for a run behind TEN FLAMES and inside HAR HAR HEART and passing the 300 Metres was directed to the outside of HAR HAR HEART to obtain clear running. SUPER CHIC and GIANT TURTLE were sent for sampling.
