BEAUTY TRUST began only fairly. THE SYLPH began very awkwardly, shifted out and made heavy contact with the hindquarters of SUPER LEADER which became unbalanced. Then from a wide barrier, THE SYLPH was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. GO PUBLIC began awkwardly and then shortly after the start was crowded for room inside THE CREATETH which was taken in by INTREPIC. DIAMOND DRAGON got its head on the side and shifted in at the start, resulting in ULTIMATE DREAM and BIZ POWER being hampered. After this, ULTIMATE DREAM and DIAMOND DRAGON were steadied and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. HEALTHY JOYFUL stumbled at the start. After the 1000 Metres, SUPER LEADER was left racing wide and without cover. Approaching the 900 Metres, THE CREATETH got its head up when travelling keenly and awkwardly placed close to the heels of INTREPIC. DIAMOND DRAGON got its head up and made the turn near the 850 Metres awkwardly. Near the 650 Metres, SUPER LEADER was taken wider when racing tight outside HEALTHY JOYFUL which shifted out away from the heels of THE CREATETH. Passing the 300 Metres, BIZ POWER was shifted in away from the heels of SUPER LEADER. After the 200 Metres, HEALTHY JOYFUL raced with its head on the side and was reluctant to shift fully to the outside of THE CREATETH. Then approaching the 50 Metres, HEALTHY JOYFUL and THE CREATETH raced tight. Over the concluding stages, HEALTHY JOYFUL again got its head on the side and lay in. Approaching the 150 Metres, Apprentice M F Poon (INTREPIC) dropped his whip. At the 50 Metres, BIZ POWER raced tight between SUPER LEADER and ULTIMATE DREAM which shifted out. A veterinary inspection of BIZ POWER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that VOLITATION was distressed. Before being allowed to race again, VOLITATION will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. HEALTHY JOYFUL, VOLITATION and ENERGETIC CLASS were sent for sampling.
