Shortly after the start, POWER OF PATCH, which was being steadied to obtain cover, was shifted away from the heels of RADIANT TREASURE which was taken in by ROYAL MOJITO. After this, both ROYAL MOJITO and RADIANT TREASURE were steadied to obtain a position closer to the rail. Passing the 1100 Metres, OHANA was bumped by RADIANT TREASURE which was shifted in away from the heels of ARM RUNDA. After the 1000 Metres, LANG TAI SING was steadied when crowded for room inside CHARITY GLORY which got its head on the side and lay in away from FIONESAY. Approaching the 900 Metres, RADIANT TREASURE was steadied away from the heels of ARM RUNDA (S Clipperton) which shifted in when not properly clear. S Clipperton was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is properly clear when shifting ground. Passing the 800 Metres, FLYING MONKEY got its head on the side and lay out. PINGWU SPARK then improved of its own accord into tight running inside FLYING MONKEY which resulted in both PINGWU SPARK and CHARITY GLORY racing tight for some distance approaching and passing the 700 Metres. In this incident, PINGWU SPARK lost ground when having to be steadied away from the heels of FLYING MONKEY. Near the 750 Metres, FIONESAY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of PINGWU SPARK. ARM RUNDA, which was following, was steadied away from the heels of FIONESAY in consequence. RADIANT TREASURE then shifted out abruptly away from the heels of ARM RUNDA passing the 700 Metres. Near the 250 Metres, COLCHESTER was awkwardly placed inside the heels of ARM RUNDA. Near the 150 Metres, ROYAL MOJITO was shifted out away from the heels of COLCHESTER and over the concluding stages lay in under pressure. Over the concluding stages, PINGWU SPARK drifted out under pressure. Throughout the race, COLCHESTER travelled wide and without cover and made the Home Turn awkwardly. A veterinary inspection of FLYING MONKEY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. MARVEL TRIBE and PINGWU SPARK were sent for sampling.
