After being loaded into the barriers, SUPER LEADER became fractious and made contact with the front gate. SUPER LEADER was removed from the barriers and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. HANG’S DECISION shifted out at the start and bumped SUPER LEADER. DRAGON MASTER was crowded for room on jumping between NOTHINGILIKEMORE and BULLISH SMART, both of which shifted ground. HEALTHY JOYFUL began very awkwardly, shifted out abruptly and hampered BIG FLASH. After this, HEALTHY JOYFUL was ridden along for a short distance, however, when caught very wide was steadied passing the 1300 Metres and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. From the outside barrier, JOLLY JOLLY was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. WHO DAT SINGA was also shifted across behind runners to obtain cover in the early stages. Passing the 1300 Metres, GREEN CARD was momentarily steadied away from the heels of SKY HERO. Approaching the 1200 Metres, GREEN CARD was awkwardly placed between SUPER LEADER and BULLISH SMART, both of which shifted ground. After the 900 Metres, PACKING LLAREGYB was left racing wide and without cover. After the race, O Doleuze (BIG FLASH) stated that stepping up in distance to 1400 Metres he allowed the horse to gradually improve in the early stages to take up a forward position, however, BIG FLASH would not settle as he had hoped and then weakened noticeably in the Straight. A veterinary inspection of BIG FLASH immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of BIG FLASH, a last start winner, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, BIG FLASH will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Also after the race, C Schofield (DRAGON MASTER) reported that his mount did not feel comfortable in its action and became detached from the field. A veterinary inspection of DRAGON MASTER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of DRAGON MASTER, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, DRAGON MASTER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. NOTHINGILIKEMORE and JOLLY JOLLY were sent for sampling.
