DIVINE BOY began only fairly and then shortly after the start was momentarily steadied away from the heels of APOLLO’S CHOICE which shifted in. FRIENDS OF KA YING was crowded for room on jumping between RED MARVEL and WHITE MAGIC which shifted out. KING GENKI shifted out at the start and bumped ALLCASH. After this, from a wide barrier, ALLCASH was steadied and shifted across behind runners. In the early stages, from the outside barrier, TURIN PEARL was shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. Approaching the 1400 Metres, FRIENDS OF KA YING was momentarily steadied away from the heels of GREEN DISPATCH (N Rawiller) which shifted in. N Rawiller was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances. For some distance approaching the 900 Metres, FRIENDS OF KA YING raced in restricted room between GREEN DISPATCH and DEJA VU and passing the 900 Metres was steadied when unable to maintain its position between those runners. After the 900 Metres, DEJA VU was left racing wide and without cover. Passing the 800 Metres, TURIN PEARL was bumped and taken wider by FRIENDS OF KA YING. Shortly after entering the Straight, TURIN PEARL was steadied when disappointed for running between SKY KING and DIVINE BOY which, after initially shifting out to improve, was then taken out marginally by FRIENDS OF KA YING. After the 100 Metres, CHARITY KINGDOM raced in restricted room inside WHITE MAGIC which improved into tight running inside KING GENKI. A veterinary inspection of APOLLO’S CHOICE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SKY KING, LITTLE DRAGON and DIVINE BOY were sent for sampling.
