YOURTHEWONFORME began only fairly. LEAN JOURNEY and ALL TIMES LUCKY bumped at the start. INTELLECTUAL GLIDE shifted out at the start and bumped SNOWHOOVES. After this, from a wide barrier, INTELLECTUAL GLIDE was shifted across behind runners. SHOWING CHARACTER began slowly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners. Also from the outside barrier, TELECOM BOOM was shifted across behind runners. Shortly after the start, MANHATTAN STRIKER was momentarily eased away from the heels of GLORY SUNSHINE. Approaching the 1100 Metres, INTELLECTUAL GLIDE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MANHATTAN STRIKER when being shifted behind that horse. Passing the 1000 Metres, LEAN JOURNEY got its head up when travelling keenly and awkwardly placed behind SMART GAIN. Near the 450 Metres, INTELLECTUAL GLIDE and MANHATTAN STRIKER raced tight. Passing the 50 Metres, TELECOM BOOM was shifted in away from the heels of YOURTHEWONFORME to continue improving. Close to the finishing line, TELECOM BOOM got its head on the side and shifted in towards SMART GAIN. Passing the winning post, SHOWING CHARACTER jumped a shadow on the track. For the majority of the race, NO LAUGHING MATTER travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight hung in and proved difficult to ride. A veterinary inspection of NO LAUGHING MATTER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of GLORY SUNSHINE immediately following the race found that horse to be mildly lame in its left front leg. SNOWHOOVES, SHOWING CHARACTER and FOREVER FUN were sent for sampling. <1/12/2016 Additional Veterinary Report>GLORY SUNSHINE, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time it was mildly lame in its left front leg. GLORY SUNSHINE was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer W Y So this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, GLORY SUNSHINE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
