GOLDEN PARTNERS stood flat-footed as the start was effected, resulting in the horse losing a significant amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, GOLDEN PARTNERS will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial. DOUBLE POINT began only fairly. DANEWIN EXPRESS began only fairly and then shortly after the start lost further ground when crowded for room between FRANCE VALOUR and BE THERE AHEAD which shifted out. GOLDEN PARTNERS lost its right front plate shortly after the start. PRINCE FALCON was slow to begin and from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. FRANCE VALOUR and NO LAUGHING MATTER bumped at the start. After the 1000 Metres, NATURAL FRIENDSHIP was left racing wide and without cover. At the entrance to the Straight, DANEWIN EXPRESS was shifted out away from the heels of FRANCE VALOUR to obtain clear running and brushed PRINCE FALCON. Approaching the 350 Metres, DANEWIN EXPRESS was shifted out abruptly away from the heels of PLAIN BLUE BANNER to continue improving. Passing the 300 Metres, RACINGFORPLEASURE, which was giving ground, was crowded for room between DOUBLE POINT which was taken out marginally by TREASURE AND GOLD and DUTCH WINDMILL (K C Ng) which shifted in. K C Ng was advised that whilst there was a shift from horses racing to the inside of RACINGFORPLEASURE which had some influence over this incident, nonetheless he must make every endeavour to prevent his mounts form shifting ground. Near the 150 Metres, the whip of O Bosson (PRINCE FALCON) was knocked from his grasp by the whip of Y T Cheng (DANEWIN EXPRESS). Over the final 100 Metres, DANEWIN EXPRESS lay in under pressure. Over the concluding stages, NO LAUGHING MATTER was awkwardly placed outside the heels of PLAIN BLUE BANNER. A veterinary inspection of TREASURE AND GOLD immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SNOWHOOVES, NATURAL FRIENDSHIP and DANEWIN EXPRESS were sent for sampling. <26/9/2016 Additional Veterinary Report>TREASURE AND GOLD, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. TREASURE AND GOLD was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer C H Yip this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to have a swollen right eye.
