WILLIE INVICTUS was crowded for room at the start between LIBERATOR and LITTLE MEN which shifted out. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, both TAKE TO THE LIMIT and LIBERATOR failed to muster speed. For some distance after the 1400 Metres, KHAYA proved difficult to settle. After the 800 Metres, ZAIDAN was left racing wide and without cover. Near the 650 Metres, KHAYA shifted out away from the heels of ETON BLITZ. At the entrance to the Straight, JOLLY VICTOR was awkwardly placed close to the heels of BUSINESS AS USUAL. In the early part of the Straight, when initially being taken out by KABAYAN, KHAYA got its head on the side and hung out. Then near the 150 Metres, KHAYA was awkwardly placed outside the heels of KABAYAN. The performance of ZAIDAN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, ZAIDAN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of TAKE TO THE LIMIT following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of TAKE TO THE LIMIT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, TAKE TO THE LIMIT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of KHAYA and TRUMP immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. KHAYA, HELENE SUPER STAR and JOLLY VICTOR were sent for sampling.
