AMBASSADORSHIP, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 6.5.14 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore). Before being allowed to race again, AMBASSADORSHIP will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. WRATH OF FIRE began awkwardly and lost ground at the start. Shortly after the start, BEST SHOW shifted out and bumped WINNING MASCOT. Near the 700 Metres, JAMESINA shifted out and bumped WRATH OF FIRE. For a short distance after this, JAMESINA raced tight inside WRATH OF FIRE which was ridden along to maintain its position, resulting in JAMESINA being momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of AGIAAL approaching the 600 Metres. In the early part of the Straight, WINNING MASCOT got its head on the side and proved difficult to shift to the outside of the heels of HORSE APLENTY, resulting in WINNING MASCOT being awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse for some distance after the 300 Metres. RIYADH had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight. At the 300 Metres, JAMESINA was shifted in away from the heels of DUAL HAPPY which was giving ground. Passing the 200 Metres, MEDALLIST was checked away from the heels of HORSE APLENTY when badly held up for clear running behind that horse which was commencing to give ground. Near the 150 Metres, FLYING CHAPARRAL, which was commencing to give ground, was steadied away from the heels of SUPREME FRESH (N Callan) which shifted out under pressure. N Callan was severely reprimanded and advised that when his mounts shift ground, he would be expected to stop riding as soon as possible and straighten them. Near the 100 Metres, MEDALLIST momentarily raced tight inside HORSE APLENTY which shifted in. Close to the finishing line, AGIAAL got its head on the side and shifted in towards the heels of RIYADH. Throughout the race, DUAL HAPPY travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. A veterinary inspection of MEDALLIST immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. NOBLE BOY and BEST SHOW were sent for sampling.
