STALLION SUPREME was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (inappetance). Before being allowed to race again, STALLION SUPREME will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. On arrival at the Start, it was noted that SURFER BOY had lost its left front plate. This plate was refitted. SURFER BOY was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. SUPREME TAIJI was slow to begin. As the start was effected, GLORY WIN lifted its front feet off the ground and consequently was slow to begin. From a wide barrier, PRIMROSE BOY was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Passing the 700 Metres, FOREST STAR got its head up on a number of occasions when being checked away from the heels of JOYFUL WINNER II. After the 600 Metres, CAGA SPIRIT was awkwardly placed close to the heels of GLORY WIN. SURFER BOY and GOLD EDITION were sent for sampling.
