HELENE SPIRIT was slow to begin. HELENE WITTY was slow to begin and then despite being ridden along failed to muster speed. When being steadied to obtain cover near the 1500 Metres, SAME WORLD got its head up on a number of occasions. After the 1100 Metres, KING OF REASON was left racing wide and without cover. Near the 700 Metres, DRAGON FIGHTER shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of REAL SUPREME, resulting in NEW GREENFIELD being crowded for room inside KING OF REASON. Near the 600 Metres, KING AL AKBAR proved difficult to settle and was checked away from the heels of NEW GREENFIELD. Near the 400 Metres, SEMOS was shifted in when disappointed for running between HELENE SPIRIT and NEW GREENFIELD which, when commencing to give ground, got its head on the side and shifted in. For a short distance after this, SEMOS had difficulty obtaining clear running. Near the 350 Metres, RICH TAPESTRY momentarily raced in restricted room between SAME WORLD and KING AL AKBAR which shifted out. From the 300 Metres until near the 150 Metres, REAL SUPREME raced in restricted room between JUST FANTASTIC and HOT SHOT. M L Yeung (DRAGON FIGHTER) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 100 Metres he permitted his mount to shift out when not clear of SEMOS, causing that horse to be severely hampered and taken out across the rightful running of TURF EXPRESS which was checked when crowded for room inside HELENE SPIRIT. M L Yeung was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Monday, 16 January 2012 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the Sha Tin racemeeting on Sunday, 8 January 2012. A veterinary inspection of REAL SUPREME after the race did not show any significant findings. FAY FAY and SEMOS were sent for sampling.
