As the start was effected, HEALTHY BLUEBERRY, which had been leaning on the inside of its stall, lifted its both front feet off the ground and consequently lost ground. NAMJONG HUNTER was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, WISE LOVER and HEALTHY MANNER were crowded for room between SMART CHOICE which shifted in slightly after bumping with BE GRATEFUL and PRECISION MAGIC which shifted out. Rounding the Home Turn, SUPREME GOLD was steadied away from the heels of INDUSTRIAL MARVEL which at this time was bumped and taken wider by PRECISION MAGIC which shifted out into clear running. At the entrance to the Straight, BE GRATEFUL became unbalanced after bumping with PRECISION MAGIC. For a short distance in the early part of the Straight, HEALTHY BLUEBERRY was held up for clear running. Also in the early part of the Straight, WIN-A-LOT was steadied when held up for clear running behind INDUSTRIAL MARVEL which was commencing to give ground. For the majority of the race, BREAKING POINT travelled wide and without cover. D Whyte reported that AMAZING CHOICE did not handle today`s track conditions and was a beaten horse a long way from the finish. A veterinary inspection of AMAZING CHOICE and WIN-A-LOT after the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of BE GRATEFUL after the race did not show any significant findings other than the horse had lost its left front plate. PRECISION MAGIC and SMART CHOICE were sent for sampling.
