On arrival at the Start, the tongue tie fitted to MULTIGLORY was replaced. DEPOSER, which was difficult to load, will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test before being allowed to race again. After being loaded in the barrier stalls, SUPREME FAY FAY became fractious and reared over. When on the ground, SUPREME FAY FAY kicked out and struck THUNDER DANCING which was in the adjoining stall, resulting in THUNDER DANCING sustaining cuts to the left hock. Both SUPREME FAY FAY and THUNDER DANCING were removed from the stalls and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said, in his opinion, they were not suitable to race. Accordingly, SUPREME FAY FAY and THUNDER DANCING were withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, SUPREME FAY FAY will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination and THUNDER DANCING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. DIAMOND KNIGHT, which was fractious in the barriers, was slow to begin. MULTIGLORY shifted in at the start and bumped INVINCIBLEKINDNESS which itself began awkwardly. For some distance approaching and passing the 800 Metres, DIAMOND KNIGHT proved difficult to settle. Near the 400 Metres, GUNNER MAC was steadied when crowded for room between KING ENCOSTA which shifted in and JUN HUA which was taken out by DIAMOND KNIGHT. After this, GUNNER MAC was shifted in to obtain clear running. Over the final 400 Metres, MULTIGLORY got its head on the side and lay in. MULTIGLORY and INVINCIBLEKINDNESS were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that RIVER JORDAN had lost its right front plate.
