SUPER UNICORN (H481): Bumped at the start. For some distance after the 500 Metres made contact with ETALON OR as it attempted to shift to the outside of FLAGSHIP WARRIOR. SUPER UNICORN was disappointed for this run near the 400 Metres and then lay in when placed under pressure in the early part of the Home Straight. FRANTANCK (H429): Shifted out at the start and was bumped. MATSU VICTOR (H472): No report. BRIGHT INHERITANCE (J215): After the event L Ferraris stated that he had some concern with his mount making the Home Turn when it did not respond to his riding. He said in the Home Straight BRIGHT INHERITANCE was unable to finish the race off. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. ETALON OR (J273): Jumped only fairly, shifted in and made contact with BEAUTY LIVE. For some distance after the 500 Metres was bumped and taken wider by SUPER UNICORN which was being shifted out to obtain clear running. Sent for sampling post-race. CALIFORNIA BANNER (J132): For a short distance near the 350 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when it improved between MATSU VICTOR and SUPER UNICORN which shifted in. CALIFORNIA MOXIE (J131): Bumped on the hindquarters shortly after the start. Approaching the 600 Metres was bumped and taken wider by STAR BROSE which was shifted out to commence a forward move. As a result CALIFORNIA MOXIE was obliged to make the Home Turn wide. FLAGSHIP WARRIOR (G452): Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event. TOY SOLTERO (J268): No report. STAR BROSE (J463): Jumped awkwardly, made contact with the right side of its starting gate and lost ground. Approaching the 600 Metres shifted out to improve and made contact with CALIFORNIA MOXIE. HAPPY UNIVERSE (J533): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race. JOLLY JUMPER (K110): Bumped shortly after the start. BEAUTY LIVE (G057): Bumped at the start. After the event M F Poon stated that with his mount stepping back up in distance and from a more favourable barrier he was instructed to hold an on-pace position. He said when placed under pressure in the Home Straight his mount did not respond to his riding and gave ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, BEAUTY LIVE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ARDEN (J505): Jumped only fairly and then was crowded between CALIFORNIA MOXIE and FRANTANCK which shifted out. After the event M Chadwick stated that his mount was reluctant to stretch out when racing in amongst horses on the Home Turn. He said in the Home Straight ARDEN did not respond to his riding and was most disappointing A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of ARDEN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, ARDEN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
