YEE CHEONG SPIRIT (H379): Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with LUCKY ARCHANGEL. After the event Z Purton reported that his mount finished the race off only fairly and he had some concern with its action in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, YEE CHEONG SPIRIT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. EVERSTAR (K264): Sent for sampling post-race. HAPPY TRIO (G244): Near the 800 Metres went amiss when it sustained an injury to its left front leg and was retired from the event. Samples were taken from the horse. LUCKY ARCHANGEL (E385): Bumped on jumping. Noted to have lost its left hind plate after the race. Sent for sampling post-race. NEBRASKAN (J304): Bumped near the 300 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race. METAL KING (K135): Jumped only fairly. SPICY SPANGLE (J087): Near the 300 Metres shifted out and made contact with NEBRASKAN when improving into a narrow run between NEBRASKAN and COLONEL. RICH HORSE (J191): Bumped on jumping. Near the 800 Metres shifted out away from HAPPY TRIO. COLONEL (D090): No report. SUPER SICARIO (K306): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Approaching the 1000 Metres shifted in and brushed the running rail when racing ungenerously. Near the 800 Metres was checked to avoid HAPPY TRIO when that horse went amiss. After the 300 Metres was eased to avoid KA YING POWER. COSMO NAVIGATOR (H156): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Trainer C W Chang confirmed the instructions were to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages to offset the wide barrier. KA YING POWER (H169): Near the 800 Metres was checked to avoid HAPPY TRIO when that horse went amiss. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
