PARTERRE (E234): After the event, K De Melo stated that from a wide barrier his instructions were to take up a forward position but not necessarily lead. He said when PARTERRE showed good pace in the early stages he was able to cross to the lead comfortably without being unduly pressured to do so. POSITIVE SMILE (J467): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 100 Metres was momentarily crowded between LASERBLANCA and DASHING PAL which shifted out before being corrected by its rider. MASTER PHOENIX (J516): Near the 850 Metres became unbalanced when racing tight to the inside of ISLAND BREEZES. For a short distance near the 150 Metres was held up for clear running. After the event, L Ferraris could offer no excuse for the horse not running on strongly in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. BALLISTIC WIN (J040): Bumped at the start. Sent for sampling post-race. SUPER GOLDI (H477): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. DASHING PAL (K045): No report. LASERBLANCA (K242): Bumped at the start. In the early stages raced keenly and when being crossed by HAPPY TANGO near the 900 Metres shifted in and away from that runner and bumped with LOVING VIBES. After the event, R Moore stated that after improving to the outside of HAPPY TANGO on straightening LASERBLANCA did not respond to his riding when under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. The performance of LASERBLANCA was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race start. Before being allowed to race again, LASERBLANCA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race. LUCKY MY WAY (K146): Jumped awkwardly and was bumped. RUN RUN TIMING (H403): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. ISLAND BREEZES (J479): No report. LOADED WITH FLUKE (K069): Bumped on jumping and shortly after was crowded between LOVING VIBES and LASERBLANCA. LOVING VIBES (J359): Bumped after the 900 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race. HAPPY TANGO (D075): Approaching the 100 Metres was eased when crowded by LASERBLANCA which shifted in and away from ISLAND BREEZES when giving ground. HAPPY TANGO then could not be fully ridden out to the finish afterwards. SMART BEAUTY (G477): Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
