YELLOWFIN (G326): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. TURIN MASCOT (H165): No report. GUMMY GUMMY (H089): No report. YOUNG BRILLIANT (H135): Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event. After the event, Apprentice E C W Wong reported that he had concern with his mount’s action when under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of YOUNG BRILLIANT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, YOUNG BRILLIANT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. FIGHTING MACHINE (J015): Sent for sampling post-race. GLORIOUS SUCCESS (K062): Sent for sampling post-race. FRANTANCK (H429): In the early stages raced wide and without cover. KOLACHI (J395): Shifted in at the start and was bumped. The performance of KOLACHI, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, KOLACHI will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. ENDEARED (H161): Whilst positioned behind the starting gates reared, resulting in its rider B Thompson being dislodged. ENDEARED was quickly recaptured and passed suitable to race by the Veterinary Officer. On jumping was crowded between TURIN MASCOT and KOLACHI, both of which shifted ground slightly. NEW FOREST (K094): No report. BEATO (H090): Slow to begin. NEVER PETER OUT (J200): Sent for sampling post-race. ARIEL (G223): After the event, A Hamelin could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. M UNICORN (G466): After being placed in the barriers lunged forward, resulting in its head making contact with the starting gate, causing the starting gate to open and M UNICORN to gallop for a short distance before being captured. Acting on veterinary advice that M UNICORN was not suitable to race, the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. The barrier manners of M UNICORN were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, M UNICORN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
