WISDOM STAR (J351): No report. ISLAND GOLDEN (H018): After the event, H Bentley reported that his mount did not respond to his riding in the early stages and became detached from the field. He attributed this to ISLAND GOLDEN racing on the All Weather surface when it was rated "Wet Slow”. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of ISLAND GOLDEN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, ISLAND GOLDEN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. MODEST GENTLEMAN (G352): For some distance near the 400 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of EVER SMART. Sent for sampling post-race. SMART LEADER (B456): Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. DOUBLE BINGO (J309): No report. EVER SMART (J179): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. DAY DAY VICTORY (J423): After the event, L Ferraris confirmed that from a wide barrier his instructions were to take up a forward position. He added that, in his opinion, DAY DAY VICTORY would be better suited racing over 1000 Metres, however, he was concerned with the horse’s action. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, DAY DAY VICTORY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. FUNG (J101): After travelling a short distance was steadied when crowded between DIAMOND SOARS and DOUBLE BINGO, both of which shifted ground. After the event, Apprentice P N Wong reported that the instructions were to take up a forward position but after being crowded shortly after the start her mount did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position which she attributed to the All Weather surface being rated "Wet Slow”. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of FUNG, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, FUNG will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. TIMESTORM (G109): Near the 300 Metres was shifted to the outside of VERBIER to continue into clear running. VERBIER (J187): Slow to begin. FALCON COURT (J056): Shortly after the start was crowded between FUNG and DIAMOND SOARS which was taken out by WISDOM STAR. Sent for sampling post-race. DIAMOND SOARS (G201): Jumped only fairly and was crowded shortly after the start.
