ROMAN CROWN (J456): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the event, H Bowman stated that his mount did not travel strongly throughout the event due to the early stages of the race being run inside of standard time. He added as a result his mount finished the race off only fairly in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. JOLLY COMPANION (H454): Slow to begin. After the event, Apprentice E C W Wong could offer no excuse for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of JOLLY COMPANION was considered disappointing as compared to its last start. Before being allowed to race again, JOLLY COMPANION will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. DRAGON AIR FORCE (J279): Sent for sampling post-race. FUN N FUN TOGETHER (J232): Over the concluding stages shifted in towards YEAH BUDDY when that runner shifted out slightly, resulting in FUN N FUN TOGETHER being steadied when awkwardly placed close to YEAH BUDDY. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. KING GLORIOSO (J247): No report. NEBRASKAN (J304): On jumping was bumped and became unbalanced. Near the 700 Metres hung out towards the heels of FUN N FUN TOGETHER and was steadied. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. COLOURFUL WINNER (J312): After the event, M L Yeung stated that his instructions were to obtain a midfield position. He said in the early stages he settled slightly further back due to the pace of the event being run inside of standard time. He added, in his opinion, COLOURFUL WINNER would be better suited racing on the turf. NATURAL HIGH (J365): On jumping blundered, became unbalanced and lost ground. KA YING WARRIOR (H028): Bumped at the start. VULCANUS (J150): Sent for sampling post-race. REGENT GLORY (E323): Approaching the 600 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from KA YING WARRIOR. YEAH BUDDY (J430): Bumped at the start. Between the 400 Metres and near the 250 Metres was held up for clear running.
