MUST GO (J133): After the event H Bowman stated that after settling towards the back of the field he was unable to proceed forward between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres when held up behind SOLID SHALAA which shifted out. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SYMBOL OF STRENGTH (K352): Jumped only fairly. GUMMY GUMMY (H089): Near the 700 Metres made contact with GIANT LEAP due to both runners shifting ground. SOLID SHALAA (H228): Near the 750 Metres became unbalanced when crowded by NEW FOREST (L Hewitson) which shifted in before being corrected by its rider. L Hewitson was reprimanded and advised that he should have made an effort sooner to relieve the tightening to SOLID SHALAA. In assessing the incident the Stewards also took into consideration that NEW FOREST shifted in and away from BLAZING WIND. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, SOLID SHALAA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. GIANT LEAP (J143): Near the 700 Metres made contact with GUMMY GUMMY due to both runners shifting ground. MR ENERGIA (J239): Sent for sampling post-race. NEW FOREST (K094): No report. OTOKOMAE (K495): Noted to have blood in the mouth on arrival at the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. CAMP LAND (K510): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. SUGAR SUGAR (G016): Jumped only fairly. BLAZING WIND (J157): Near the 300 Metres was bumped by FATAL BLOW which shifted out. Sent for sampling post-race. FATAL BLOW (J484): Bumped near the 300 Metres.
