MASTER CHAMPION (K266): Crowded near the 550 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race. MEGA BONUS (E184): Apprentice E C W Wong pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 550 Metres (see HONEST WITNESS). After the event, Apprentice Wong stated that he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to attempt to cross runners to his inside. He said MEGA BONUS came under pressure leaving the 600 Metres and when he was concerned that there was something amiss with the horse in the Home Straight he eased it down from the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of MEGA BONUS was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, MEGA BONUS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. NEW POWER (H325): Bumped heavily at the start and became unbalanced. HONEST WITNESS (K283): Apprentice E C W Wong (MEGA BONUS) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 550 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of HONEST WITNESS, resulting in HONEST WITNESS losing its rightful running and being checked and then being taken in onto MASTER CHAMPION which was crowded for room. Apprentice Wong was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday, 24 September 2025 and to expire on Monday, 29 September 2025 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In addition, Apprentice Wong was fined $20,000. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his neutral race riding record. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race. MULTIDUTCH (K171): Lay out under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. CIRCUIT DUFFY (J501): Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between NEW POWER which shifted out slightly and GLORY CLOUD which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider. POWER SUMMIT (K044): Jumped awkwardly, shifted out, made heavy contact with NEW POWER and became unbalanced. I P O BROS (K193): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. ACROSS DA UNIVERSE (J328): Approaching the 300 Metres was steadied and shifted to the inside of GLORY CLOUD to continue into clear running. EXCEED THE WISH (J480): No report. PATCH OF WATCH (H476): Sent for sampling post-race. GLORY CLOUD (H320): Shifted in at the start and was bumped. Approaching the 400 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running to the outside of MULTIDUTCH. Approaching the 300 Metres was then disappointed for clear running between MEGA BONUS and NEW POWER which shifted out to improve.
