FLAMINGO TRILLION (H192): No report. CAMBRIDGE (K085): In the middle stages raced keenly and after the 900 Metres got its head up when being steadied to avoid FLAMINGO TRILLION. Sent for sampling post-race. SENOR TOBA (G103): Jumped only fairly. From the 900 Metres raced very wide and without cover. STAR MAC (J053): Jumped only fairly. Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that the riding of B Avdulla, 7th placegetter, over the concluding stages did not affect the horse’s finishing position, he was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ensure that he fully rides his mounts out to the finish of the race. SHARPEN BRIGHT (H276): No report. LUCK IS BACK (J398): Raced keenly in the early stages when being shifted across behind runners from a wide barrier. For some distance leaving the 1300 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from SENOR TOBA. CASA ROCHESTER (J494): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, CASA ROCHESTER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race. ALLCASH (K190): Near the 1300 Metres was steadied to avoid JOY OF SPRING. After the event M Chadwick stated that the instructions were to go forward and lead if circumstances permitted. He said ALLCASH bounded on jumping, lost ground and as a result settled further back than intended. JOY OF SPRING (H383): Jumped only fairly. Near the 1300 Metres was steadied to avoid CASA ROCHESTER when racing keenly. Sent for sampling post-race. STURDY RUBY (H207): A Badel was fined the sum of $3,000 for returning to scale 2 lbs overweight. Jumped awkwardly. Approaching the 1300 Metres raced keenly and as a result was steadied to avoid SHARPEN BRIGHT. When the pace steadied in the middle stages was allowed to stride forward from the 900 Metres. When STURDY RUBY was unable to cross GOOD LUCK WIN it was obliged to race wide and without cover for the remainder of the event. CHAIN OF GOLD (J138): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. GOOD LUCK WIN (J135): Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres raced in restricted room between FLAMINGO TRILLION and STURDY RUBY as it endeavoured to improve between those two runners.
