WINGS OF WAR (H162): After the event, H Bowman stated that from an inside barrier when his mount commenced well he was able to take up a forward position without being pressured to do so. Sent for sampling post-race. ROMANTIC SON (J537): After the event, H Bentley stated that his mount was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and as a result was left without a finishing effort in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. KA YING VICTORY (H287): Jumped awkwardly and shortly after the start bumped with POWER KOEPP and became unbalanced. After the event, M F Poon stated that his mount jumped awkwardly and then did not travel well during the race. He added, in his opinion, KA YING VICTORY may have been feeling the effects of the manner in which it jumped and he had concerns with its action. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, KA YING VICTORY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. POWER KOEPP (E301): On jumping was bumped and became unbalanced. Approaching the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving to the inside of GIANT LEAP and as a result made contact with DENFIELD when GIANT LEAP shifted in under pressure. Sent for sampling post-race. DENFIELD (G471): Near the 200 Metres was bumped and taken in by POWER KOEPP. WARRIORS DREAM (K255): Jumped awkwardly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Passing the 350 Metres was checked to avoid KA YING VICTORY and on straightening was shifted to that runner’s inside to secure clear running. GIANT LEAP (J143): Sent for sampling post-race. SWEET BRIAR (H044): No report. WRITTEN CASA (J305): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
