FORTUNE SUPERSTAR (J210): After the event, H Bowman confirmed that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages. Trainer M Newnham confirmed the instructions and said such instructions were issued as FORTUNE SUPERSTAR was stepping up to 2200 Metres for the first time tonight and to offset the wide barrier.
BRIGHT INHERITANCE (J215): Jumped only fairly. Near the 2000 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from FORTUNE SUPERSTAR. After the event, A Atzeni stated that from the outside barrier and with his mount stepping up in distance he was obliged to race back in the field. He added when under pressure in the Home Straight BRIGHT INHERITANCE did not respond to his riding and found it difficult to make up ground due to the middle stages of the event being run outside of standard time. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
AFFORDABLE (J242): Jumped only fairly. After the event, R Moore stated that his mount travelled only fairly during the event and did not finish the race off when under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SERANGOON (H296): Shifted out at the start, bumped heavily with JOYFUL PROSPERITY and became unbalanced. Sent for sampling post-race.
