GRAND NOVA (J323): No report. HAPPY UNITED (H208): Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight, resulting in its rider L Ferraris changing his whip through to his right hand near the 200 Metres. ALLGREEKTOME (H007): Bumped at the start. When questioned, T Marquand stated that his instructions were to hold an on-pace position and lead if possible. He said with the early stages of the event being run inside of standard time ALLGREEKTOME did not show sufficient pace to allow him to comply with the instructions and as a result settled further back than anticipated. When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight, T Marquand stated that when positioned to the inside of NOTTHESILLYONE and behind HAPPY UNITED, he was unable to shift out and after the 300 Metres he then elected to shift to the inside of HAPPY UNITED to secure clear running. He added as he commenced to shift in HAPPY UNITED lay in which resulted in him having to continue to shift in to that runner’s inside in order to obtain clear running. He said near the 200 Metres when HAPPY UNITED continued to shift in he contemplated shifting to its outside but when Jockey L Ferraris pulled his whip through to his right hand he was of the opinion that runner would straighten. He said approaching the 150 Metres ALLGREEKTOME was then checked when disappointed for clear running to the inside of HAPPY UNITED when that runner continued to shift in. T Marquand agreed with the Stewards that in retrospect his better option would have been to shift to the outside of HAPPY UNITED near the 200 Metres to secure clear running. HARMONY FIRE (E175): Near the 450 Metres was steadied when taken wider by PRECIOUS HILL which shifted out when giving ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. CHAMPION METHOD (H366): Sent for sampling post-race. PARENTS' LOVE (H405): Sent for sampling post-race. LEADING ARTICLE (K071): When commencing to finish the race off well was disappointed for clear running between NOTTHESILLYONE and CHAMPION METHOD near the 100 Metres and as a result could not be fully ridden out to the finish of the event. PRECIOUS HILL (J475): Bumped after travelling a short distance. After the event, C L Chau stated that his mount raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event and lay out making the Home Turn before giving ground in the Home Straight. He added, in his opinion, he felt there may be something amiss with PRECIOUS HILL. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, PRECIOUS HILL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. BRAVE JOY (J307): Leaving the 50 Metres was steadied when crowded between GRAND NOVA and CHAMPION METHOD (A Atzeni) which shifted out. A Atzeni was reprimanded. HAPPY TANGO (D075): After travelling a short distance was bumped by PRECIOUS HILL which shifted out and away from PARENTS’ LOVE. NOTTHESILLYONE (J383): No report. PLENTIFUL (G400): Bumped at the start. Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight. Sent for sampling post-race.
